In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You proposed to us by your letter of the 4th inst; that in consideration of the business at the Woolwich Yard being so much increased there should be Master Boatmaker, Mastmaker, Master House Carpenter, Master Joiner and Master Sailmaker particularly appointed there, as the Deptford Yard Officers (who formerly had the charge of that Yard) have enough to do to look after their own affairs.
We direct you to send to this Board the names of such persons as you judge qualified for the aforesaid employment, and report to us what allowance of Wages you judge proper to be made to them, and you are also to send us the name of some person who you judge qualified for Master Boatmaker at Deptford in the place of the former Deceased.
