In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We direct you to sign a bill on the Navy Treasurer for paying Thomas Neal, Master of the Mint, a sum of thirty pounds to provide a Medal and Chain for John Gresby of Guernsey, Mariner, as a reward for taking and destroying some French Privateers, and rescuing a Vessel laden with Stone for the building of Hampton Court.
You are also to pay to the twenty five people who went with him in Captain Rowlands Privateer twenty shillings, to be assigned for payment out of Money received by the Navy Treasurer for the tenths of Prizes, appointed by a late Act of Parliament for Medals and other rewards for Officers, Mariners and Seamen in their Majesties' service at Sea.
