In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We direct you to give Orders to the Portsmouth and Plymouth Commissioners that as any of their Majesties' Ships come there disabled, their repairs should be taken in hand as soon as possible, and they should be supplied with such Stores as shall be necessary for putting them in a condition for Sea. In case their repairs cannot be performed without coming into Port they are to order them in for that purpose to prevent any loss of time in their dispatch, but not to clean them without orders.
