In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

This is in answer to your letters of the 3rd and 5th inst; to inform you that directions are sent to Rear Admiral Benbow to order the Ships he is sending to Norway to Convoy Mr Martin's Ship the GRAEFF CARL GYLLENSTERN from Mardoe to Portsmouth.
Orders are also sent to the Nore directing the first of his Majesty's Ships bound Westward to Convoy the GARD ADVENTURE, which necessary for Sick and Wounded Seamen, to Plymouth or as far as the Man of War is bound.
You are to direct the Master of the aforesaid Vessel that in case the Ship which carries him from the Nore should not be ordered to Plymouth , that then he should apply to any other Man of War bound Westward to take care of him there.
