In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We directed you sometime since to take security from Mr Edmund Halley for the payment of such Wages as shall be due to the Officers appointed by this Board to the PARAMOUR Pink, which is going on a private affair under his Command.
He has himself since applied to this Board concerning the Men who will sail with him, and desires for disciplinary purposes that they may be borne on her in his Majesty's Pay, and that Security may be taken from him for making good what Wages will be due to them at the end of the voyage.
We direct you to cause them to be borne accordingly and that sufficient security be taken from Mr Halley for paying their Wages at the end of the voyage.
