In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Richard Lapthorne, late Master of the MILFORD, was sent to London in March last to give evidence for the King against some of the Officers of the said Ship. We direct you to cause an allowance to be made to him equal to the Pay of Master of the aforesaid Ship from the time he was discharged from her to this day, and that the same be paid to him by Bill.
You are to take care to employ him again in some other Ship as soon as maybe, if you have no objection to the contrary.
