In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
By our Order to you of May 21st 1694 you were directed to bear Philip Simpkins (who attended in Town as a Witness for the King) as a Midshipman on the BRITANNIA until further Order. As he was appointed Lieutenant of the Hired Ship PRUDENCE by this Board on November 28th 1694 we direct you to cause him to be discharged from the BRITANNIA from the date of his Commission for Lieutenant of the PRUDENCE.
