In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We did some time since direct you to receive from Mrs Lovelace a certain sum of money for the King's use, upon the score of her being concerned in the making of false letters of Attorney. We direct you to cause the moiety of the said sum to be paid to the Solicitor of this Office, Mr Whittaker, in order to it being delivered to the person who discovered the fraud.
