In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
When the ROCHESTER, commanded by Sir Francis Wheeler, sailed for the Mediterranean, she did so without her Second Lieutenant. Sir Francis appointed Chester Moore, who now commands the MARY GALLEY, to act in his stead. Captain Moore is to be paid for his time in that role.
