In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Copy of a Navy Board order to Deptford calling for an account of the cost of replacing rudder irons from 1671 to 1678.

A note on the reverse side opines that a Clerk may have given a copy of the report to the Milled Lead Company but the latter could not admit that it had received it for fear of the Clerk being held to account for his breach of confidence.
