Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)

Their Lordships have received a letter from Lord Berkeley, Admiral of the Fleet, complaining of the great want of provisions at Plymouth, and his Lordship being at sea, he may need to send ships there to be cleaned and re-victualled. I am commanded to send you the enclosed extract of his letter that you may give necessary direction to the Commissioners of the Victualling in this matter.
