In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The following men of the DREADNOUGHT were desired by Captain Coal to give evidence at his intended trial at Court Martial and were discharged by Captain Stepney who succeeded him in command on 2 March 1695: William Roley, Master Sailmaker; George Ranton, George Boyton; Jarrett Morris; Jonathan Jackson; Robert Lewy; Abraham Hudnott. From which time to 3 May following they were on board the LONDON attending the trial. You are directed to have them borne for wages on the DREADNOUGHT during that time and for victuals on the LONDON.
