In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have considered your letter of 10 July about the account of the Purser of the ADVICE and direct you to give your opinion of what is fitting to be done. Captain Foulkes has given an account of the provisions on board the ships under his command and we send you a copy of this. You are directed to have the provisions for the ships hastened to them at the Gunfleet with all possible dispatch. The Captain of the MONMOUTH yacht advises us that he wants a fish and other materials for her mast and you are to order that he be supplied from Liverpool. The Captain of the SHEERNESS at Milford has given an account of his great want of beer and we send you a copy of his letter that you may direct the victuallers to supply this. Captain Foulkes will be ready to proceed with the ships under his command as soon as they are victualled as convoy to the merchant ships bound to the East Country. You are to give notice to the merchants who have contracted for stores for the King that they timely get their ships to the Gunfleet.
