In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to sign a bill on the Treasurer of the Navy for an allowance of 20 shillings per diem for table money for the Rt. Hon. Edward Russell, Admiral and Captain General of His Majesty's fleet in the Mediterranean and Narrow Seas, from 1 January to 28 April 1696, the date of Sir George Rooke's commission to be Admiral and Commander-in-Chief of the fleet. This is to be over and above what is allowed by the last Establishment for an Increase of Pay to Flag and Other Officers.
