In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
To lengthen the provisions aboard His Majesty's fleet, we have sent orders that seamen be put on short allowance. You are directed to give orders to the Commissioners of the Victualling to solicit the Treasury for money to pay the men their short allowance money.
