Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)

The Lords of the Treasury having laid before the Lords Justices an account of payments to sea services out of funds this year with an estimate of new money, and their Ecelliencies having sent this to the Lords of the Admiralty, I send you the enclosed copy of Mr Vernon's letter relating to this matter. You are directed to attend their Lordships here next Monday at 5 o'clock in the afternoon to give your opinion and to send a copy of the letter to the Commissioners of the Victualling so that they may consider the matter and attend to give their opinion at the same time.
