A petition has been presented to this Board setting forth that Edward Deacon has been Surgeon of several ships this past 7 years, and for 4 years of that time in the PRUDENCE, where he continued until discharged the service. He has been instrumental in discovering divers frauds in the forging of seamen's letters of attorney and you are directed to give order for his employment as a Surgeon in His Majesty's ships.
