In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to have a bill made out to Mr Edward Burt, on of the Chief Clerks belonging to our Secretary, for his salary for the last quarter ending 24 June, as if he had served the whole quarter in this office, and that his salary as Secretary to the Commissioner for Registering of Seamen commence from that time. Several men have been turned over from the LANCASTER into the OXFORD, which is bound on a voyage to Newfoundland. You are directed to have the OXFORD furnished with a full proportion of slop clothes so that if turned over men should be in want of clothes they may be supplied.
