I am commanded by the Treasury to send you the enclosed Presentment from HM Customs about the money paid by several Collectors of the Customs in the years 1693, 1694 and 1695 to the Vice Admiral for raising seamen pursuant to orders made by His Majesty in Council. You are directed to have the sums mentioned in the Presentment to be paid to the Receiver General and Cashier of HM Customs, who is to give credit fopr the same to the respective Collectors who advanced the money and thereupon to charge it by way of imprest on the persons who received the money from the Collectors until they can account for the same.
