Having ordered the VANGUARD and ROYAL KATHERINE to proceed to Chatham to be refitted, we direct you upon their arrival there to cause their repairs to be taken in hand and the Ships put into condition for next Summer's service at Sea with all dispatch.
Informed that the Surgeon of the PEMBROKE has asked Surgeons Hall to provide another Surgeon in his place, he not being able to go on her voyage, we direct you to order the Master of Surgeons Hall to appoint one Purcell, late Surgeon of the ARCHANGEL, (who we formerly directed you toprovide for) to be Surgeo of the PEMBROKE.
