In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have considered your letter of the 28th past to our Secretary giving an account that upon your receipt of Orders for fitting to Sea the ESSEX, RUPERT, WARSPIGHT, EAGLE, BREDA, YORK and PLYMOUTH, Masters and Surgeons were appointed to them as usual.
In answer we inform that in regard other Ships whole Companys, as well Commissioned Officers as others, (excepting the standing Officers) are ordered to be turned over into the aforementioned Ships, and the Masters and Surgeons which are appointed to them must be discharged. We direct you to cause this accordingly.
