In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The hired Ships TIGER and SMYRNA MERCHANT are ordered from Bristol to Plymouth for their being fitted and revictualled. The Commanders of these Ships have informed us that they cannot get such Provisions at Bristol sufficient for for them in their passage to Plymouth.
We direct you to give Orders to the Victualling Commissioners to cause them to be immediately furnished at Bristol with so much victuals as may be necessary. Likewise you are to cause the Provisions ordered for the Squadron with Rear Admiral Benbow at the Gunfleet to be sent with all possible dispatch to him, and let us know where the same now is.
