In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You informed us by your Report of the 3rd inst; on the Petition of John Phillips, formerly first Lieutenant of the DOVER, that he was entered on her Books on the 3rd April 1694, and is paid only from that time. He was employed in pressing Men from February 19th and we direct that he be paid from that date, as Captain Douglas and others have been paid.
