In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You have informed us that before our Orders for deducting sixpence from Seamen's Wages serving in the Fleet according to the late Act of Parliament reached you, several Ships have been discharged and laid up and their Companies paid. You ask whether these deductions shall be made at the recalls from such Men as are not yet paid on those Ship's Books.
We direct you to govern yourselves according to the instructions you have already received from this Board.
