In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We direct you to impress to Sir Cloudesley Shovel the sum of three thousand pounds for defraying the Contingent Services of the Squadron which is going on foreign Service under his Command. You are also to order the Victualling Commissioners to supply him with Money or Credits for paying the Squadron for their short allowance of Provisions.
You are also to deduct six shillings per month out of Wages of the Marine Soldiers in the Squadron for their Clothes, which Money is to be lodged with the Navy Treasurer.
We have ordered the MONTAGUE's Men to be sent to the PLYMOUTH, and you are to cause the Riggers and Ordinary at Deptford and Woolwich to bring the MONTAGUE up to Woolwich.
