In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We direct you to cause the Wages due to Mr Robert Hobbs and Mr John Hare, first and second Lieutenants of the PORTLAND, for the time they served as Lieutenants of the said Ship, to be paid, notwithstanding they do not produce Captain Smith's Certificate of their having complied with their instructions, who was drowned before he could give them the same, provided you have no other objections.
