In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Pinder, Commander of the MERMAID, has informed us by his letter of yesterday's date from the Nore that her false keel and sheathing are much damaged and she will not answer her helm. We direct you to cause a survey to be taken and give us an account of her defects, and whether she will require a Dry Dock to be repaired, and if so where should be ordered for that purpose.
