In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Board had formerly directed you to stop the Wages of Captain Thomas Dilkes when he commanded the Hired Ship SAMUEL and HENRY, for bringing home a considerable quantity of Virginia tobacco, contrary to his instructions. On His Majesty establishing double pay of his Sea commanders and remitting all faults except Capital ones, comitted before this Establishment, we direct you to cause his wages to be paid to Captain Dilkes, provided he has complied with all other Instructions.
