It appearing to us by your Warrant and Certificate which came enclosed that Mr John Sommers was appointed by Captain Fairborne to execute the Office of Judge Advocate from the 27th of January 1696 to the 5th of February following, we direct you to make the usual allowance to him for the time he acted in that capacity.
