In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have confirmed a warrant given by Sir George Rooke, Admiral of the Fleet in the Mediterranean, dated 25 November 1695, for John Merchant to be Boatswain of the LYME in place of the former removed into the COVENTRY. You are to enter him accordingly together with such allowance of wages and victuals for himself and servant. His warrant is to be dated 2 October 1696.
