John Newbury, late Carpenter of the CORONATION hired ship is to be appointed Master Carpenter of the new 4th Rate building at Southampton by Mr Parker. You are to enter him accordingly together with such allowance for wages and victuals for himself and servant. His warrant is to be dated 2 October 1696.
