In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The TRIDENT, ASSISTANCE, FORESIGHT, GOSPORT, SHOREHAM and FAVERSHAM, being ordered to Portsmouth; the BRISTOL and CHESTER to Plymouth; the RUBY and SCARBOROUGH to Chatham; you are directed to have these ships fitted for foreign convoys, and those not sheathed to be sheathed. They are to be manned with their middle complement and each furnished with 4 months provisions with all possible dispatch.
