In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
A commission was granted by the Hon. Sir George Rooke, Admiral and Commander-in-Chief of His Majesty's fleet, to Mr Robert Pennecuik to be Master and Commander of the OWNERS ADVENTURE bomb vessel, dated 24 May 1696. You are directed to have the wages due to him paid, notwithstanding that his commission is not confirmed by this Board.
