In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

You are directed to prepare and present to this Board an estimate of the following: wages, victuals, wear and tear and ordnance; stores for 40,000 men serving in ships at sea for 13 months at £4.10.0 per man per month; the Ordinary of the Navy for next year; the officers of the two Marine Regiments; completion of the new buildings [ships] at yards at Portsmouth and Plymouth; the remaining sum of the four 90 gun ships ordered; the remaining sum of the four 3rd Rates of 70 guns and eight 4th Rates of 50 guns ordered to be built last year; the Registry Office for Seamen, and such other heads you consider should be inserted in the estimate.
