In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Having ordered the brigantines DILIGENCE and INTELLIGENCE to Portsmouth and the SHARK to Sheerness, you are directed to have them, upon their arrival there, laid up and paid off, and also the POST BOY now at Portsmouth and the DISPATCH at Sheerness to be laid up and paid off there. Repairs are to be got in hand with these vessels which will be fitted for next summer's service You are to have the company of the POST BOY and DISPATCH turned over, the former into such ships at Spithead as the flag officer shall direct. and the other into the RUBY prize at the Buoy of the Nore.
