In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are asked for your opinion as to where the BIDEFORD, now in the Hope, should be ordered to be sheathed. Rear Admiral Neville has sent us an account of victualling on board the ships at Spithead which are bound for foreign service, by which it appears they are spending on the 4 months provisions with which they are to sail. You are directed to repeat your orders to the Commissioners of the Victualling to supply ships from time to time with provisions as the spend them so that they may proceed from Spithead with a full proportion of 4 months. You are to have the wages due to Lt. Archibald Hamilton, during the time he commanded the WOOLWICH, paid provided he has complied with his Instructions.
