In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Your letter of 2 April asked to know our pleasure on the account of disbursements made by the Admiral of the Fleet in 1693 out of contingent money imprested. This amounts to £524.15.0 and upon consideration we direct you to allow the items of £250.0.0 for Mr Anseline's salary and the advance money of £50 to the 5 clerks and £120 to the Captain of the Regulating Press, but we do not think fit to allow £124.15.0 to be expended for coach hire, boat hire and entertainment in travelling.
