In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We are advised that a number of disaffected persons are involved in criminal activity against the Navy, magazines and ships building in His Majesty's yards. You are directed to send directions to the officers of the yards to make the strictest search all over the yards, whether any persons have placed fireworks or other combustible material to destroy the magazine or ships building. Some attempt may be made on ships in the harbour and you are to give direction that persons belonging to the ships in ordinary are constantly to their duty for the defence of the ships.
