In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to prepare and send to this Board, estimates of the charge of wages, victuals and wear and tear for 40,000 men to serve in His Majesty's ships for 16 lunar months commencing 1 January next. His Majesty's Order in Council of 22 October declared that sea victuals be provided for 40,000 men to serve in His Majesty's fleet. You are to give us your opinion in what ports and in what proportion at each port these victuals are to be provided.
