In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Your letter of 26 October advised that the BONADVENTURE merchant ship may be fitted to serve His Majesty as a man-of-war in about a month's time. You have agreed with her owners at the rate she served before, and we signify our approval of this and direct that she be fitted out for service in the Channel at the charge of her owners. She is to be manned to the complement of men established before when last in service and victualled for 3 months with all dispatch.
