Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)

I enclose an extract of a letter from Captain White, Commander of the MARY galley, wherein he gives an account of the damage she received by going ashore on the Breake [Goodwin Sands]. She has been ordered to the Buoy of the Nore and you are to give your opinion as to where she may be repayed, either at Sheerness or Chatham.
