The Treasury have taken into consideration your letter of 7 September, about the proportions to be paid to each Colonel of the two Marine Regiments out of the sum of £14,580.10.0 remaining in money and tallies in the hands of the Treasurer of the Navy, and also the letter of 26 October, about the imprest of £6,851.5.0 for clothing and beds supplied to the first Marine Regiment which was to be stopped out of the pay of officers for 1695. The proportions to be made are as follows: To the Colonel of the first Marine Regiment for the pay of officers £6,995; for the pay of Commissaries £547.10.0. To the Colonel of the second Marine Regiment for the pay of officers £6,995; to make good so much which is short upon the last imprest £43.
