In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Enclosing an Account from Captain Norris, Commander of the Squadron going to Newfoundland, concerning difficulties with completing his allocation of Provisions. An Order is given for the Commissioners for Victualling to attend to the matter without delay ensuring that until departure the Squadron's supply of Victuals is to be maintained at eight months. Mention is made of the GUERNSEY, LYME and SUFFOLK now at Spithead as part of the Squadron. Transports are to be arranged to carry any Provisions that the ships of the Squadron cannot stow.
