Lieutenant Boys of the ROYAL WILLIAM has sent a letter dated the 10th inst; from Barnstable giving an account that the 57 Volunteers he has raised will not march to Plymouth unless they have the King's allowance. I am commanded to inform you that you should take care for furnishing these Men with Subsistence and Conduct Money so they will not be lost to the Service.
In answer to your letter of the 12th inst; concerning the Ship offered to hire by Mr Freeman, the Admiralty Commissioners wish to have your opinion whether she should be bought for the Service as a Man of War.
