In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We direct you to cause to be imprest to Mr Edward Whittaker, Solicitor for for the Affairs of this and your Office, the sum of four hundred pounds, to enable him to perform the duty of his employment.
You are to give Orders to the Victualling Commissioners to furnish the MARY at Portsmouth with ten weeks' Provisions for her highest Complement at whole allowance instead of the four months some time since ordered for her. Also they are to cause FOWEY's Provisions to be kept up till such time as she sails to New York, she at present employed between the Nore and the Downs.
The DUNKIRK, SWIFSURE and a Fireship now in the Downs, and bound to the East Country, are in need of Provisions to enable them to proceed, and you are to order the Victualling Commissioners to send a supply of Provisions to the Downs.
