Document signed by William Bridgeman, circa 1646-1699, English civil servant and Secretary to the Admiralty between 1694 and 1698
The Admiralty Commissioners this morning sent Orders for refitting and cleaning the COVENTRY either at Chatham or Sheerness as might be most convenient. They have since received an account that the Ship has come up to the Hope, following former Orders. They have asked to be informed whether the Ship can be cleaned and refitted at Woolwich, and if so they will order her there accordingly.
