In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We understood from your letter of the 25th inst; to our Secretary that one of the Rope Houses at Chatham is so decayed that the Workmen are in fear of it falling on them, and you think it convenient to take it down this Summer and erect a new one. You have sent an Estimate of the Charge for this amounting to thirteen hundred and sixty six pounds, and after consideration we approve of taking down the old House and buiding a new one. We direct you to take this in hand with all dispatch according to this Estimate, which comes enclosed, confirmed by this Board.
