The Lord Justices of England have approved a Proposal offered to them by the Treasury Commissioners and the Admiralty Commissioners for paying off the debt owing to the victuallers to the 30th April last, by Tallys and Orders charged on the Duties on Salt with an allowance of fifteen pounds per cent to be given to the Creditors.
The Treasury Commissioners direct that out of the sum of £786129.5s.8d remaining in the Navy Treasurer's hands you cause the sum of £732227.6s.10p to be applied to the victualling as follows:-
To clear the debts contracted for victualling under the present commission-£626662.12s.3d
For the arrears of the debt in the time of the late victuallers-£10096.16s.3 1/2
Total-£636719.8s.6d 1/2
For an allowance of £15 per cent on the two foregoing sums £95507.18s.3 1/2
Total £732227.6s.10d
The Treasury Commissioners direct that out of the sum of £786129.5s.8d remaining in the Navy Treasurer's hands you cause the sum of £732227.6s.10p to be applied to the victualling as follows:-
