In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Enlcosure: Copy of a letter from Captain Worrell of the DUKE in which he informs that one of his Lieutenants had entered two volunteers earlier this year who would have been entitled to Bounty money; but before they had been entered in the ship's Books they were put aboard a Merchantman to assist in bringing her into Port, but were pressed out of her some time later by a Lieutenant from the ROEBUCK notwithstanding that they had Register Tickets and Tickets of Leave. In June of this year they were released from the ROEBUCK in order to rejoin the DUKE, but due to the expiry of the relevant Proclaimation have forfeited their Bounty Money. A mild plea is made for matters to be put right.
