Return from Jamaica, March 1805; joins Collingwood after Trafalgar; pursues French squadron in vain and defeats another at San Domingo; return to Cadiz and to the UK; furious at not being enobled; hoists flag in ROYAL GEORGE and takes convoy to Gibraltar, Oct 1806. 3. From his leaving Cadiz for Constantinople to return to Spithead via Alexandria, Aboukir, Cadiz. 4. Channel Fleet under Gardner, August 1807, to Gardner's relief by Gambier, April 1808. Includes abortive pursuit of the Rochfort squadron. 5. Under Gambier, May 1808-April 1809. Blockade of Brest, abortive pursuit to Madeira and back.
